Bailey Zulinick, of Winfield, galloped off with equestrian gold in show jumping at the B.C. Summer Games.
Zulinick, 12, a first time Summer Games competitor, also won a silver in another equestrian event.
“[The Games are] a lot of fun,” Zulinick said. “It’s good with not too many people.”
Zulinick was originally introduced to horseback riding by a friend. She started with Western (style), but switched to English for show jumping.
“I like the thrill of going over jumps,” said the young medalist. “It feels like you’re flying.
