Cecile Kwon of Maple Ridge will have to wait to make her pro debut after shooting an 84 Monday at the Canadian Pacific Women’s Open Qualifier at Pitt Meadows Golf Club.

A total of 43 golfers teed off in hopes of landing one of the four available spots for the start of the Canadian Pacific Women’s Open on Thursday at the Vancouver Golf Club in Coquitlam.

Kwon, a 15-year-old righty with two top-10 finishes in tournament play this year, finished tied for 33rd.

Australia’s Stacey Keating was the top finisher, carding a two-under 70. She will be joined by California’s Kristen Park, who shot a one-under 71, Louise Stahle of Sweden, who was even for the day at 72, and Vancouver’s Tiffany Kong, who was also even par for her round.
