Women are encouraged to embrace their inner warrior and participate in a fitness camp that will challenge their physical and mental abilities.
Fitness instructor Kristie Eccleston is offering a 16-week training course with the ultimate goal of participating in the Warrior Dash, an event where people face extreme obstacles and rugged terrain, in Whistler on Aug. 6.
“By overcoming physical challenges and succeeding at fitness, women can also overcome personal and emotional challenges as well,” said Eccleston.
Eccleston’s camp will include outdoor and indoor courses with a series of challenging workouts.
Participants will workout three times a week for one hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting at 6 a.m. and Saturdays at 8 a.m. A good pair of running shoes and comfortable workout clothing is recommended.
Nanaimo arts editor, Melissa Fryer, is taking the course and will blog about her experiences at http://wdtrainingcamp.blogspot.com.
The cost is $860, which can be split into payments.
