The Round 1 Kootenay International Junior Hockey League playoff series between the 100 Mile House Wranglers and Chase Heat is getting a venue change.
Games 3 and 4 in 100 Mile House are Feb. 28 and March 1.
Following a 5-4 Wranglers win in overtime in Chase on Feb. 25, Chase evened the series with a 4-3 Game 2 win on Feb. 26.
Game 2 saw Chase get on the board first with two early goals.
Then the Wranglers found their touch as Stephen Egan, from Tyson Levesque and Kenny Nordstrom, scored at the 8:08 mark and Levesque, from Donovan Law and Michael Lynch, added another with 36 seconds left in the first.
Chase scored 19 seconds into the second frame, while Robert Orrey, from Egan, answered back for 100 Mile House in the closing minute to even the score 3-3 heading into the third.
Chase notched the game winner on the power play with 3:34 left to play.
Goalie Kristian Stead turned away 25 shots.
100 Mile House outshot Chase 46-29.
Puck drop is 7 p.m. at the South Cariboo Rec. Centre on Feb. 28 and March 1.
