Magnus Viberg of Calgary is the newest addition to the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League’s newest club.
The 18-year-old goaltender will be in the lineup – backup to Kristian Stead – when the 100 Mile House Wranglers host the Sicamous Eagles at the South Cariboo Rec. Centre on Jan. 17.
Viberg played for the Creston Valley Thundercats this season. He posted nine wins and six losses and a goals against average of 3.89.
“We are pleased to add Magnus to our lineup,” says coach/general manager Doug Rogers.
“Magnus has had experience in the KIJHL and is a valuable addition not only for this season, but as the Wranglers continue to look after building a solid foundation for the future.”
