Wrestling returns to Schubert Centre

Thrash Wrestling returns to the Vernon Schubert Centre Saturday night

The duo of (Greased Lightning) Ronnie Angel and (The Real Karate Kid) Danny Knightmare appear primed for more ringside antics as Thrash Wrestling hosts its Very Bad Things card Saturday night at the Schubert Centre.

Angel takes on The Black Dragon in a TW title match, and although he has never beat the Dragon, he will have ringside support from his valet Rhonda Angel and Knightmare.

Knightmare, who recently beat (Canadian Classic) Collin Cutler for the vacant Okanagan/Interior title, will go up against the No. 1 contender (The Thompson Valley Terror) JJ Jetson.

In other action, Canadian Hardcore champion Moondog Manson will put his strap on the line in a triple-threat match against (Homicidal Maniac) Slave and (Top Drawer) Michael More.

Cutler will take on newcomer (Lone Wolf) Billy McCoy and Disco Fury will battle another TW rookie in Alex Bradley.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m., with wrestling at 8. Tickets are $12 and are available at the door. They can also be bought in advance at the Schubert Centre, Ebenezers and the Downtown Internet Lounge in Vernon; Tony O’s Outfitters in Enderby; Bogart’s in Armstrong; and The Snac Shac in Lumby.
