Young Victoria Shamrocks teams kicking off box lacrosse season

Intermediate and junior teams play their home openers on April 29 in Colwood

The intermediate A and junior A Victoria Shamrocks lacrosse teams kick off their respective seasons on the road this weekend.

The juniors open this Friday (April 21) with a game in Nanaimo against their Island rivals, the Timbermen, starting at 7:30 p.m. at Frank Crane Arena. They continue on the road on Sunday in Burnaby when they take on the Lakers at Bill Copeland Arena with a 5 p.m. start.

The intermediate Shamrocks get underway Sunday with a game in Langley against the Thunder, with a 2 p.m. start at the Langley Events Centre.

West Shore fans can take in the Shamrock teams’ home opening weekend on Saturday, April 29 when the intermediates play New Westminster at 1:30 p.m. and the juniors host the Port Coquitlam Saints at 5 p.m., both at The Q Centre.
