Clearwater Youth Soccer hosted a total of 80 young players from Clearwater and Barriere during a fun soccer play-day on Sunday afternoon.

The event was held on the playing fields at Clearwater Secondary School.

“We are so fortunate to have a nearby community like Barriere for our children to play against,” said Clearwater Youth Soccer Association President, Barb Coates.  “Barriere provides players of similar experience and skill level making for fun and challenging games. The Clearwater players had to work hard to win three of the five games played! We are excited to continue and build on the healthy and fun rivalry between Barriere and Clearwater and will be traveling there this Saturday for more games.

“It was so great to see about 80 kids total out on the field, using the best fields and goals in any small community that I know of.”
