Christian Zalli of Vancouver carded a final-round 3-over 75 Friday to win the B.C. Junior Boys Golf Championships at the Squamish Valley Golf Club.
Zalli finished at 284 after rounds of 71-68-70, leaving him two strokes better than Keaton Gudz of Victoria and brother Ilirion Zalli. Gudz fired a 69 for the low round Friday.
The top Okanagan player was Marcus Apchin of Kelowna, who went 73-74-81-73-301 for a three-way share of 16th place in a field of 134.
Coldstream’s Brandon Chai was one of eight players at 308 after shooting 77-81-76-74. George Wilkins of Lake Country (Predator Ridge) produced 79-72-74-83-308
Ryley Johnson of Vernon garnered 76-80-78-82-316 for a three-way tie at 55th.
Parker Wadsworth and Braeden Cooper, both of Vernon, missed the 36-hole cut. Wadsworth shot 76-86-162, while Cooper ended up at 80-83-163. Dexter Weiten of Vernon fired 91-86-177.
