On Friday, the Creston and District Community Complex Zamboni was unveiled with a completely new look, thanks to Pharmasave, which now sponsors the ice-cleaning vehicle with its purchase of advertising.
Heather Cain, who manages Pharmasave Home Health Care, took the wheel while Creston and District Community Complex manager Randy Fediuk was joined by three ice user group representatives. The user groups get a portion of the sponsorship proceeds to reduce their ice fees and the balance is put into a capital fund for a future Zamboni replacement.
The user groups were represented by Ulrike Sliworsky (Creston Valley Minor Hockey Association), Greg Wenke (Creston Valley Skating Club) and Jeff Dubois (Creston Valley Thunder Cats).
