Annual holiday rap music video stars school staff members

There is no greater feeling for a kid than waking up on a cold winter’s morning to a snow day. This also stands true for teachers.

Teachers and staff at Alberni Elementary School in Port Alberni have put together their latest annual holiday music video, and in this one they bemoan the lack of snow on the ground and imagine all the fun they’ll have when the next snow day comes around.

The song “Snow Day” is a riff on Run-D.M.C.’s song “Christmas Is.” Alberni Elementary School teacher Jeff Bordal explained that he and his wife Brittney, a fellow staff member at the school, made the holiday rap music video starring all the school staff members to help spread holiday cheer.

It’s the third year in a row that the school has put together a Christmas music video with hip hop-inspired antics. The video had already gained plenty of attention on social media and YouTube.
