Once again, the Grade 8 boys basketball team at Prince Rupert Middle School has dominated all their competition, easily winning the zone title for the ninth straight year.

The Grade 8 boys at Prince Rupert Middle School dominated the competition enroute to winning the zone championship in Smithers on Feb. 11.

Once again, the Grade 8 boys basketball team at Prince Rupert Middle School has dominated all their competition, easily winning the zone title for the ninth straight year.
Sixteen of the skaters on one team from the skating jamoboree. There were 84 skaters in total from Terrace, Kitimat, Smithers, Hazelton and Prince Rupert. The blue team won the event with the most cumulative points.

The Prince Rupert Skating Club (PRSC) hosted its West Area Jamboree this weekend, to much success.

Sixteen of the skaters on one team from the skating jamoboree. There were 84 skaters in total from Terrace, Kitimat, Smithers, Hazelton and Prince Rupert. The blue team won the event with the most cumulative points.

More than 30 squash players came out to the Prince Rupert Racquet Centre this past weekend to take part in the annual Feel the Love tournament. Players enjoyed squash games, a prime rib dinner and prizes throughout the event.

The senior girls basketball team at Charles Hays Secondary School (CHSS) hosted the zone championships this weekend, and came away with the title. The girls played two hard-fought games against Caledonia Secondary School. The first game was won by CHSS 47-33, and after Caledonia beat Smithers Secondary School for the other spot in the final, the girls won a nailbiter 53-50 to claim the banner. Ruby Mason was named MVP of the tournament, while Brittany Waite and Carly Cochrane were named All-Stars.
