SOLO AT THE BAYSIDE: Lead by chief songwriter Neil Osborne, Vancouver’s 54-40 has been mining for gold since 1981 and the band continues to live up to their reputation as one of the most important popular music groups to emerge from the Canadian cultural landscape. Osborne was in Parksville on Thursday and impressed fans with an incredible acoustic solo performance at the Quality Bayside Resort. He performed some familiar 54-40 songs and shared the stories behind them.
