TREACHEROUS DRIVING ON MONDAY: Police, first responders and tow truck companies were busy Monday morning tending to a number of motor vehicle incidents in the Parksville Qualicum Beach area, where drivers woke up to icy roads. The incident above was a multi-vehicle collision on the northbound off-ramp from Highway 19 to Parksville near the weigh scales. According to a fellow worker, the driver and sole occupant of this van did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
