Golden’s organizations have been working hard this year.

The Hospital Auxiliary presented the Golden and District General Hospital with $6,000 last week to go towards the portable ultrasound machine. The group also recently gave out a bursary at the high school. Summer Kicks continue in Golden

Locals and RCMP officers from all over British Columbia braved the rain to play in the RCMP Annual Charity Golf Tournament on June 13. “I would just like to thank all of the volunteers from the detachment. It couldn’t have been done without them,” Brady Knezacek, co-ordinator of the tournament said. The tournament had one of its best years yet and raised $3,640 to go towards bursaries for GSS.
