Little Fort celebrates Chinese New Year

People in Little Fort celebrated the Chinese New Year in several ways on Feb. 19

On Jan. 15, 10 people from Barriere and Little Fort came together at the Little Fort Hall to make (and eat) sushi.  It was a fun event, and the meal was quite good, with a miso soup and noodle salad, followed by sushi rolls, tofu pockets stuffed with rice, and veggies and prawns fried in a light tempura batter.  The next cooking event at the hall will be on Feb. 19.  That date is also the Chinese New Year, so cooking will feature Chinese dishes.  Pictured:   Georgina Leighton stuffing tofu pockets.
