Nakusp ambassadors look back on last six months

Nakusp's first and second ambassadors reflect on the first half of their year representing the village.

The line for the ski lift was continuous as skiers and snowboarders gathered at the Summit Lake Ski Hill on the last day of 2016. All ages and skills were on hand for a chance to have some fun and laughs with family and friends.

Summit Lake Ski Hill open for the season

The ski hill got an early start to the season because of all the snow that's fallen this year.

The line for the ski lift was continuous as skiers and snowboarders gathered at the Summit Lake Ski Hill on the last day of 2016. All ages and skills were on hand for a chance to have some fun and laughs with family and friends.
The new Phase 5 building will be a three storey complex similar to the Rotary housing unit pictured here. There are currently four Rotary housing units of various sizes in Nakusp.

More housing for seniors on the way for Nakusp

Participants in the 12 and under category head out on their first lap around the course during the Sufferfest event at Rotary Park on Labour Day. Many kids took part in the event, with the youngest being just two years old.

Frankincense the cub enjoys some fruit at the Northern Lights Wildlife Society. When he came to the society, he was about 26 lbs., which is about half of what he should weigh. Staff are doing their best to get him to bulk up before they introduce him to the other bears at the society.
