Morning Mountain granted $62,700 from Trans Canada Trail

The majority of the funds will go towards building 4.5 km of a new trail from the nine km mark on Giveout Creek forest service road.

Guests listened from the beach, and from the waters of the bay as they drifted in motorboats, canoes, kayaks and stand up paddle boards. Scorching temperatures in the afternoon had many people dipping in the lake for a refreshing swim beside by the floating stage. The floating stage has a charming backdrop of a cedar-shake houseboat resting on Kootenay Lake with the Purcell Mountains beyond and the prominent peak of Mt. Loki reaching for the sky.
