60 Minutes Toastmasters Open House features world renown speaker

World champion speaker Arabella Bengson invites the audience to pump their hands and stamp their feet — always a big, attention-getter and audience energizer.

A normally quiet person who still thinks in her first language, Bengson learned to speak so the audience learns skills ahas nd fun in the process. In some seminars, she gets participants dancing on the aisles. On March 7, at 60 Minutes Toastmasters Open House, she will show how speakers can “Present with Fin and Power!”

Spectators will see speakers improve through the magic of coaching from Noon to 1 p.m., with the special meeting continuing till 1:30 pm. The event is free. Reserve for limited seats at Cornerstone, #8, 468 29th St., Courtenay.

60 Minutes Toastmasters Club is known for interesting, enjoyable meetings where participants learn while laughing.

Members include folks from all walks of life who come to Toastmasters to improve their leadership and communication skills. Like Arabella, some have English as their second language. They know that communication skills are critical to success in work and all aspects of life. Others continue to enjoy polishing their skills.

Except for the special meeting on March 7 , 60 Minutes Club meets Thursdays from noon to 1 pm.

Guests are invited to interesting events: Feb. 28 the club contest on speech and evaluations. A longer meeting happens on March 30-31, 2019, the Division C Speech Contest, hosted by 60 Minutes Toastmasters.
