Rob McGill and the team at Forever Inked Tattoos in Willowbrook are gearing up for a Spook Tattoolar Halloween event aimed at helping sick kids.
They’re setting up a “flash tattoo event” on Saturday, Oct. 29, where customers can select from pre-drawn tattoo designs for a minimum donation of $60, all proceeds going to the BC Children’s Hospital.
The tattoos are all black and grey with choice of one colour, sized as is between two to four inches in diametre.
It’s only expected to take the artists about 20 minutes to complete, and while the Forever Inked team is book some appointments between 10 a.m. and noon, the rest of the day is on a first-come, first-serve basis until 7 p.m.
“We anticipate a large turnout,” said artist Jolene Harrison, who noted everyone is limited to one tattoo only the day.
One of the frequently asked questions is, “Will it hurt?”
Harrison responded with a resounding: “Yup! But it’s for the kids.
“On a normal business day, the minimum fee for a tattoo of that size would be about $100. The discounted rate is our effort in contributing to the BC Children’s Hospital and our community, while giving people an awesome fun tattoo!”
Any questions or bookings can be done in person or by calling the shop in advance at 604-427-4657. Morning spaces are limited, and booking up fast, Harrison noted.
The studio is located at 19577 Fraser Hwy.
