A personal training company raised nearly $3,000 for Peace Arch Hospital and Community Health Foundation and other hospital foundations last month at its first golf tournament

Innovative Fitness raised $2,968 July 20 at Swan-E-Set golf course, and plans to make the tournament an annual event.

The course was full with 150 golfers participating in the tournament, which featured activities at each hole, including a blood-pressure test by Peace Arch Hospital and various prizes.

Proceeds from the event were split between Lion’s Gate, Langley, Eagle Ridge and Peace Arch Hospital foundations.

At the moment, there is no set designation for the local funds, but according to the foundation it will “benefit the greatest area of need in the hospital.”
