Rick Goossen will present “Building a Great Company: How and Why to Go from Making a Profit to Making a Difference” at the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce’s monthly luncheon on May 26 at the Ramada Plaza and Conference Centre.
Goossen is the senior relationship manager and strategic planning specialist for Covenant Planning Group Inc. He has written five books and more than 200 articles.
“In today’s environment, leading companies are pro-active, engaged, and collaborative” said Goossen.
Business used to be just about making a profit; now stakeholders expect much more. Both customers and employees expect a company to have a soul – to be interested in making a difference in its community.
“A company will never reach its true potential unless it goes beyond just making a profit, which is indeed the crucial engine of the company, to engaging employees in making a difference in the community.”
The luncheon takes place May 26 and features an extended networking time, starting at 11 a.m. Pre-registration is required and chamber members ($32) and non-members ($42) can get tickets at www.abbotsfordchamber.com.
