Abbotsford’s Vitala Foods launches new Sunshine Eggs

Vitala Foods is "Spreading the Sunshine" across the Lower Mainland this week, to promote the launch of their new Vita D Sunshine Eggs.

Vitala Foods is “Spreading the Sunshine” at events across the Lower Mainland this week, to promote the launch of their new Vita D Sunshine Eggs.

The Abbotsford Company has a mobile van preparing breakfast burritos outside the Save-on-Foods store on Sumas Way until noon.

The eggs are billed as the first in the world to contain 100 per cent of a person’s daily vitamin D requirement in a single egg – the same vitamin people get through adequate exposure to the sun’s rays.

“We’re excited to do our part to help British Columbians get their daily dose of vitamin D, a crucial nutrient known to have widespread health benefits,” said Vitala Foods president Bill Vanderkooi in a press release.

“We’re a home-grown Abbotsford company, so we’re pleased to be celebrating our launch in our home town.

The eggs are sold at Save-On-Foods, Cooper’s, PriceSmart, Choices Markets and Urban Fare throughout B.C.
