Exports from B.C.’s agri-food and seafood sectors increased more than eight per cent in the first 10 months of 2010.
As of October 2010, B.C.’s agri-food and seafood industries exported $2.3 billion worth of goods.
End-of-year estimates indicate B.C.’s producers will generate close to two per cent more in total livestock sales in 2010.
Final crop revenues are expected to be up more than one per cent overall from 2009 despite significant weather events that affected some B.C. regions.
B.C.’s top agricultural trading partners include the U.S., Japan, China, Hong Kong and South Korea.
