Calling all buccaneers! On Wednesday, Aug. 13, adults can feel like kids again when they enjoy an Adult Pirate Pak at 61 White Spot restaurants throughout British Columbia.
(Of course kids can order Pirate Paks too).
The seventh annual fundraiser gives $2 from the sale of every Pirate Pak to Zajac Ranch for Children, an established B.C. charity that provides kids and young adults with life-threatening illnesses and chronic disabilities a memorable summer camp experience.
“Pirate Pak Day has become an annual celebration that helps young mateys facing life-long challenges,” said White Spot President Warren Erhart.
“It’s the perfect way for the young-at-heart to feel like a kid again, while supporting an amazing cause. We’re honoured to continue our work with Zajac Ranch.”
Pirate Pak Day has become an annual tradition that has already raised a total of $268,386 and sent more than 100 children to camp. White Spot Week at Zajac Ranch runs from Aug. 18 to 22 and includes activities ranging from horseback riding and kayaking.
“Our long-standing partnership with White Spot provides a direct benefit to kids in need,” says Mel Zajac, founder of Zajac Ranch for Children. “It’s so rewarding to see their faces light up when they try new camp activities, which are specially tailored to kids with special needs.”
Available for both dine-in and take-out on Aug. 13 only, Adult Pirate Paks come in four options:
• Legendary Burger
• B.C. Chicken Burger
• Bacon Cheddar Bigger Burger
• Provolone Veggie Burger
Each choice is served in the nostalgic Pirate Pak boat filled with mouth-watering treasure: fresh-cut fries, coleslaw, a soft drink, ice cream and a chocolate “gold” coin.
Also on Pirate Pak Day, White Spot restaurants will be decorated with pirate-themed flags and banners and staff will be sporting playful pirate regalia.
