The Alberni Valley Chamber of Commerce has released the list of finalists for its annual Community Excellence Awards.
Finalists are:
Citizen of the Year — Nancy Wilmot and Ryan Dvorak
Chamber of Commerce Award — Pat Deakin, Bob Kanngeisser
Business Excellence — Browns General Excavation, Little Bavaria, Gayle’s Fashions, Valley Vision, Van Isle Ford/ Pacific Chevrolet
Tourism and Hospitality — Lady Rose Marine Services, McLean Mill National Historic Site, Best Western Plus Barclay Hotel
Rising Star Award — The Medicine Shoppe, Blue Fish Gallery, Jiffy Lube
Special Recognition Award — Boutique Belles Amies, Hertel Meats, Jowsey’s Furniture
Image Enhancement Award — Aaron Vissia Financial, Blue Fish Gallery, Sproat Lake Landing
Social Media Award — Funk Trunk Clothing Co., Finishing Touches, Serious Coffee
Volunteer of the Year — Marilyn Gibson, Carol Cutforth, Gareth Flostrand
Green Award — Alberni Charters, Naesgaard’s Farm and Market, The Salvation Army
Youth of the Year Award — Nathaniel Wynans, Rhylie Lee, Rachele VanZoren
Customer Service Award — Gord Groves, Quality Foods, Boutique Belles Amies staff, Dani Hovind, Tim Hortons.
Winners will be announced at an awards dinner next Friday, April 25 at the Best Western Plus Barclay Hotel.
