Building Surrey, Coquitlam and Langley one hammer at a time

Starting this week, customers shopping at the Surrey, Langley and Coquitlam Home Depot store can donate $2 to purchase a “paper hammer.” All proceeds raised will support Tri-City Transitions Society, an organization that provides help and hope to women and families who have been impacted by violence and abuse in the Tri-City communities.

The Home Depot Canada Foundation is committed to supporting the housing needs of Canada’s youth. Running until July 3, all proceeds raised through the campaign will benefit local housing charities, including many that provide housing support to youth-in-need.

“The Foundation believes safe, stable, affordable housing matters,” said Peg Hunter, chair, The Home Depot Canada Foundation. “Working together and supporting affordable housing, we can help build brighter futures and stronger communities for everyone.”

The Tri-City Transitions offers counselling and groups for women who have experienced sexual assault, relationship or childhood abuse.
