The Burns Lake A&W recently received the silver award of excellence, an award given to the top 10 A&W restaurants in Canada out of 875 restaurants.
Linda Saugstad, manager of the Burns Lake A&W, received the award in Nashville, Tennessee, U.S.A. She said she was very proud of her team. “It’s good to be recognized,” she said.
Patti Farmer, Chief Operating Officer of the McMurray Group – company that owns the Burns Lake A&W, said the selection process for the award was rigorous.
“First, there are 50 restaurants chosen as ‘best operated’ from across the country; they are chosen based on customer count growth and an operations audit performed by A&W Food Services of Canada,” she explained. “From those 50 restaurants, the 10 very best restaurants are chosen to receive the silver award.”
“We are extremely proud of Linda and the whole team in Burns Lake for winning the prestigious silver award of excellence,” continued Farmer. “It is a huge honour in the A&W world to receive this award and we were so happy that we could celebrate this achievement with Linda at our national convention in Nashville.”
