The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako (RDBN) and the Burns Lake Band were the hosts of the 2017 Regional Business Forum, an event that has been taking place across the RDBN since 2008. This year’s theme was ‘The next 150: celebrating our past and imagining our future.’ The primary goal of the forum is to give businesses, First Nations, governments and organizations from across the region the opportunity to gather for learning and networking. The event, which was held on Sept. 19-20 at the Burns Lake Band’s Gathering Place, also included presentations, workshops, a trade show and a gala dinner. This year’s keynote speakers were Art Napoleon, a budding TV personality with a growing resume in the film industry, and Renée Wasylyk, CEO of the Troika Group.
