The fourth annual Healthy Hearing Expo happens Tuesday, April 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Victoria Conference Centre.
This year, attendees can support a food drive for the Mustard Seed Food Bank. People donating non-perishable food items receive entry into a draw for a set of hearing instruments. Hearing aid manufacturer reps will be on hand to talk about new developments in the industry.

Curvalicious Boutique is hosting its annual Seasonal Fashion Show and Clothing Swap April 25, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Ambrosia Catering and Event Centre, 638 Fisgard St. The event, which sees participants update their wardrobe while enjoying entertainment, has a charity aspect to it this time around. Oyster Bar owner teams up on tapas bar at Magnolia
Tom Ferris, owner of downtown Victoria’s popular Ferris’ Oyster Bar, has joined Dave Craggs and chef Aaron Lawrence in opening the Catalano Restaurant and Cicchetti Bar in the lobby of the Magnolia Hotel and Spa, 619 Courtney St. The eatery, open for lunch and dinner, features Mediterranean fare and Venetian tapas known as cicchettis. Restaurants event supports AIDS group
More than 50 restaurants in Greater Victoria have jumped on board to support AIDS Vancouver Island through Dining Out for Life, an Island-wide program aiming to raise more than $40,000 for the health and service organization.
