Space is starting to fill up at the Small & Home-Based Business Expo hosted by the South Shuswap Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, Nov. 15.
But there’s still time to get onboard says Karen Brown, chamber general manager.
Cost to exhibit is free to chamber members and only $35 for non-members.
The chamber will supply a six- foot table and two chairs for each exhibitor. Exhibitors need to take their own table coverings and any literature and/or products they are wanting to exhibit.
Community Futures, the Economic Development Office, Argyle Business Services, Work BC and financial institutions and insurance companies will be on site to give presentations, advise on new business start-ups and how to avoid the pitfalls when your business is up and running, says Brown.
“There is a wide range of people exhibiting – anything from cleaning products to advertisers, clothing to computer technical services,” she says. “All small business or home-based business operators are welcome to exhibit.”
If you choose to exhibit for free by becoming a member, a chamber membership for one to five employees is only $89 per year plus GST.
More information on becoming a member can be found on the chamber’s website at southshuswapchamber.com
Those who wish to take part in the event should email Brown as soon as possible.
The Small and Home-Based Business Expo runs from noon to 4 p.m. on the lower level of the Cedar Heights Centre, 2316 Lakeview Dr. Blind Bay.
Admission to the public is free.
