Dr. Greg Thomas will be inducted as the 53rd chair of the Surrey Board of Trade (SBOT) at the business group’s Annual General Meeting and Chair’s Dinner on June 15 at Eaglequest Golf Course.
Thomas is the president and CEO of G3 Consulting Ltd., an environmental engineering firm based in Surrey. He is also the chair of the SBOT International Trade Team and serves on the Environment Committee and Indigenous Affairs Committee of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on several additional scientific and business committees.
At the SBOT meeting, Richard Dendy will be inducted as the first vice-president. Dendy is the chief financial officer and chief revenue officer of A&A Customs Brokers Ltd., a 36-year-old trans-border logistics company.
SBOT will also welcome two new members to its board of directors, as Tammy Rea of TD Bank and John Folka of KMPG, LLP were acclaimed as directors.
Re-elected to the board are Jay Rao of Levelton Consultants, Marlyn Graziano of Kwantlen Polytechnic University and Chuck Keeling of Elements Casino.
