CLOVERDALE — On Remembrance Day, you can sip a hot coffee and help support Canada’s veterans all at the same time.
The Coffee Port in Cloverdale is donating all proceeds from drink sales to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund.
“We value our veterans and are excited to participate any way we can in supporting and honouring them,” said Cris Leonard, owner of the Coffee Port. “It’s our hope that we will be able to provide the Royal Canadian Legion #6 (Cloverdale Branch) with a significant contribution to the Poppy Fund this year.”
Last year, the Coffee Port raised $628 for the Cloverdale Legion.
As a bonus for coffee lovers, since Nov. 11 falls on a Wednesday, it coincides with the businesses’ weekly promotion, “Wake Up Wednesday,” where customers can get any size drink for the price of a small one. The Coffee Port is located at 18408 64th Ave. in Surrey. On Remembrance Day, it is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
