Campbell River’s Sonia Edwards is quickly rising through the ranks at Investors Group.
Just three years into the business, Edwards is already a divisional director within the company and recently she was recognized by Wealth Professional Magazine as an up-and-comer, shooting to the top of the wealth management industry.
Named as one of 25 Young Guns for 2016, Edwards is one to watch.
Edwards’ regional director, Jason Heflin, says Edwards is not only excelling as division director of the Campbell River Investors Group office but also devotes a large portion of her busy schedule to mentoring other consultants.
Edwards was also honoured with the prestigious Financial Planner of the Year Award – an internal contest run within the region – despite being a new mother and new management team member.
Edwards is also the top financial planner at Investors Group Central Vancouver Island North.
On top of her busy schedule, Edwards continues to make time for volunteer work within the community. She continues to be heavily involved in the Investors Group Walk for Alzheimer’s as chair of the North Island Walk and she is a volunteer for Junior Achievement British Columbia, teaching in local high schools about financial literacy and work readiness skills.
“Although only a few years into her career at Investors Group, Sonia has already garnered the admiration of many senior executive consultants in our region,” Heflin says.“She is an ambitious consultant as well as a fearless leader; a true wealth management professional.”
