Chamber Awards nomination deadline extended

Nominate a business for a Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce Award by Dec. 7

The Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Awards nominations are extended to Dec. 7.

The Chamber has extended the deadline for nominating an outstanding business, organization, and/or individual for a Chamber Award. Nominations are currently being accepted for  14 award categories. Is there a new business you feel deserves to be recognized? Have you experienced fantastic customer service? Is there a community-minded individual that you feel needs to be applauded for their achievements? Now is the time to nominate them!

Community Award nominations can be submitted online at www.comoxvalleychamber.com. The nomination process is so easy, takes no time at all, and is well worth it. Nominees or their businesses do not have to be a Chamber member to qualify.

The Chamber has 15 awards to present this year with a new category: The Sustainable Business Award, proudly sponsored by West Coast Expeditions, recipients of the 2015 Family First Award. West Coast Expeditions wanted to do more so they sponsored their very own award for 2016. The sustainability award recognizes a business or organization that practices environmental responsibility and sustainability within its business model.

With a James Bond theme the Chamber is eagerly anticipating the Comox Valley Annual Community Awards Gala on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the Florence Filberg Centre. This year’s Chamber awards are guaranteed to leave you stirred (not shaken) with a champagne reception, a sit down gourmet dinner, an Academy Awards-style video presentation of all award finalists, a fun photo booth, and a not-to-be missed silent auction.

Tickets for the Chamber’s marquee event – the Annual Awards Gala – are for sale on the Chamber’s website. You can purchase single tickets or tables of eight or 10. Last year’s Gala sold out so be sure to reserve your table today.
