The Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce has planned several special events to celebrate Small Business Month in B.C.

A New Business Mixer, intended to help new business owners get involved in the business community, is scheduled for 5:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 16 downstairs at the Blackfin Pub in Comox. The annual networking event is restricted to the owners or managers of any new business that has opened in the Comox Valley in the last year.

“The New Business Mixer is an excellent networking and relationship building event that provides an opportunity for Chamber of Commerce employees and board members to meet new business owners and managers, and learn about the exciting new additions in our business community,” Chamber of Commerce president/CEO Dianne Hawkins said.

“In addition to getting to know your new business neighbours, there will be an opportunity to learn about the benefits of belonging to the Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce and the advantages of WorldHost training, too.”
The event is free for new business owners and managers. Advance registration is mandatory. Pre-register at www.comoxvalleychamber.com. For more information, call 250-334-3234.
