The South Cariboo Chamber of Commerce is hosting an open house with snacks and refreshments on Feb. 18 from 10 a.m to 1 p.m.
Executive director Shelly Morton says it offers a chance to chat with her, chamber members and the business community.
“It’s just for Chamber Week, to open the doors for anybody to stop in and say hi and have some snacks and coffee.”
It is also great opportunity to pick up, fill out or drop off nomination forms for the 2014 Business Excellence and Citizen of the Year awards, or pick up tickets to the gala awards dinner, she notes.
New businesses or folks thinking of starting them can also gain direction from valuable supports and tools available at the Chamber office.
Morton can also supply plenty of information on membership benefits and the general community.
“We have got tons of pamphlets on education and business buyer’s guides, and lots of newsletters.”
This includes details and contacts for the Love 100 Mile House business marketing program and the South Cariboo AGE FRIENDLY Initiative, she adds.
