The Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce is hosting Governance 101 May 15.
The workshop will help you and your board function more effectively.
“Learn the essential strategies and best practices of boards and board directors who have discovered how to govern in ways that are effective, efficient and results oriented,” states a chamber release.
The facilitator will be Deb McClelland, who specializes in governance matters, board and director development, strategic planning, assessment of board performance as well as CEO performance evaluations.
She is chief executive officer of the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce and the incoming president of the Chamber Executives Association of Canada.
Registration for Governance 101 is at 8 a.m., with the session running from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Century 21 building (upstairs). Lunch will be provided.
The free is $50 for chamber members and $75 for non-members.
