The Second Annual 108 Business Fair 2011 at the 108 Mile Community Centre is a great opportunity to support local businesses and take home some bargains, says organizer Ingrid Meyer.
The fair was slated to start on Friday (June 10) evening, but due to the Vancouver Canucks Stanley Cup hockey game, organizers decided to cancel Friday’s event and extend the hours on Saturday (June 11) instead and go from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“If we win all four games, there wouldn’t be a game on Friday. But, just in case the game is on Friday, we decided not to open that evening.”
More than 11 businesses will be set up in and outside the hall, as well as food concessions, including some home cooking, Meyer adds.
“It is a wonderful opportunity to see the huge variety of the 108 businesses.”
The 108 Mile Community Centre is located at 4924 Telqua Dr., just off of Highway 97 via Easzee Drive, take the 108 Mall exit (south end).
