Nine-hundred of the world’s top thyroid experts will be in Victoria in October 2017, for a four-day conference that will pump an estimated $1.5 million into the local economy.
The Victoria Conference Centre beat out five other North American cities for the American Thyroid Association’s annual convention.
Considered the world’s leading body focused on thyroid biology and the prevention and treatment of thyroid disorders, delegates will include endocrinologists, internists, surgeons, nuclear medicine scientists, pathologists and other health care professional wanting to update and broaden their knowledge of the thyroid gland and its disorders.
