A fundraising event featuring cars and motorcycles drew a record turnout and raised more than $4,700 for the White Rock-South Surrey Hospice Society on June 10.
There were 140 participants showing vehicles, and more than 500 attendees visiting the third annual car and motorcycle show hosted by the Shops at Morgan Crossing located at 24 Avenue and Croydon Drive.
For adults, there was a beer garden, a 50/50 raffle, and live entertainment by DJ Allan Cassidy and The Sutton Brothers.
For kids, face-painting, balloon performers, caricatures, contests and prizes, and the first 100 children each received a free Hot Wheels hot rod.
“The Car & Motorcycle Show is becoming one of our signature fundraising events,” said property manager Karen Donald. “It is a wonderful opportunity for us to help raise funds and support one of our local charities.”
