The British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Atlantic Region Chambers of Commerce are leading a national project, called ThirdQuarter, to help businesses identify and connect with older workers that want to return to the workforce in fulltime, part time or seasonal work.
Third Quarter, www.thirdquarter.ca, is an online tool that can help businesses fill a vacancy, hire casual or part time employees, recruit volunteers or promote their business?
Third Quarter connects Canadians over 50 to employment and volunteer opportunities.
There is no cost to businesses for registering or advertising job or volunteer vacancies. For further information visit www.thirdquarter.ca or call Michou Szabo, Community Coordinator for Penticton and Area at 250-809-7488 or michou.szabo@thirdquarter.ca.
The Penticton and Wine Country Chamber of Commerce is part of this program and is seeking local businesses to assist with a national survey of business and their views on older workers.
The ThirdQuarter project needs the perspectives of business on hiring older workers. An online survey has been prepared to collect your perspectives and important experiences. To access the survey please go to www.surveymonkey.com/s/thirdquarter.
Responses will be confidential and anonymous, and it only takes a few minutes to complete.
