CoWork hosts learning session with Google partner

Next learning session at CoWork Penticton hosted by Google partner and SEO specialist Stephen Noton

As the internet increasingly becomes the go-to resource for consumer reviews and research, it also quickly outpaced the phone book as the preferred method for finding addresses and contact details.

How businesses can connect with consumers faster by improving their Google rankings is the topic of the next learning session at CoWork Penticton hosted by Google partner and Search Engine Optimization specialist Stephen Noton.

“Even businesses without websites can be searched for and found. Google is a leader in offering a suite of tools that can help businesses and consumers get connected faster. But the fast pace of technological change has made it difficult for busy business owners to stay up to date,” said Noton.

The session will be held twice: on Wednesday, May 17 and Thursday, May 25. The two-hour presentation will shed light on how business owners can improve their ranking in search results — even if they don’t have a website. Attendees will receive several Google resource documents to take home with them and will learn valuable tips such as how to use Google to place banner ads across the internet, how to move their business up higher in Google rankings and how to use AdWords.

Noton, who moved to Penticton in January, has over 20 years experience in SEO. His work includes being the senior SEO at TripAdvisor and helping build the SEO team at Alibaba. In addition, he has done marketing for AirAsia, Dell, Expedia, Gartner, IMD Business School, Les Roches, Nestle, Tag Heuer and many others. He and his wife plan their move to Penticton from Thailand for many years and he is looking forward to sharing his expertise with local businesses. Noton launched the new local classifieds and listing service Skaha.ca in 2016.

Attendees will also have chances to win prizes, and will take home valuable information and coupons. The event will be hosted in partnership with Cowork Penticton in their Flex Room at 125 Eckhardt Ave. East. Registration is $25 (plus GST) and seating is limited. Registration is required and can be done online at: www.coworkpenticton-seo-google.eventbrite.ca/
