Dams Ford Lincoln is bringing Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited’s innovative Drive One 4 UR Community program to Surrey in an effort to raise up to $6,000 for the Drive for the Cure Foundation.

For every person who test-drives a Ford vehicle at 14530 104 Ave. on July 14, Ford of Canada will donate $20 to the organization. The fundraising initiative will be held in conjunction with the Galaxy Club of Canada 10th Annual Car Show.

“We’re excited to partner with the Drive for the Cure Foundation to help raise funds for those fighting cancer,” says Amber Jackson, Business Development Centre Manager at Dams Ford Lincoln. “Not only is the Drive One program a chance to support those facing health challenges, but it allows us the opportunity to showcase Ford of Canada’s high-quality line-up and innovative safety technologies, and is a fantastic opportunity to explore Ford vehicles from yesterday and today.”

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature the Ford Focus, Ford Fiesta, Ford Fusion, Ford Escape, Ford F150, Lincoln MKX, Lincoln MKS, Lincoln MKT, along with a great collection of Ford classic show cars and trucks for viewing.

Since the start of Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School and Community programs in 2010, more than 77,000 test drives at more than 500 events have generated over $1 million in donations for high schools and organizations in Canada. Locally, Dams Ford Lincoln participated in Ford’s Drive One 4 UR Community program last year and raised over Dams Ford has raised over $30,000.00 for local schools and community partners since April of 2011.

To participate in the fundraising event,  visit Dams Lincoln Ford at 14530 104 Ave. on Saturday, July 14. Participants must be 18 or older and have a valid driver’s licence. There is a limit of one test drive per household.
