B.C. newspaper publisher David Black – and owner of the Victoria News – is guest speaker at the next Canadian Club of Victoria luncheon on Feb. 17.
For the past two years, Black has been investing his own money to get the ball rolling on Kitimat Clean Ltd., an ambitious project that aims to turn bitumen from the oil sands into refined products, such as gasoline, for shipping in tankers to Asian energy buyers.
The luncheon is at Harbour Towers Hotel, 345 Quebec St., and begins at 11:45 a.m. Guests are welcome but reservations are required, please call 250-370-1837 by Feb. 13.
