Day joins board of directors

Former politician appointed director of parent company of Langley-based Britco

Stockwell Day has been appointed to WesternOne’s board of directors.

WesternOne is the parent company of Langley-based Britco.

Britco has more than 1,000 employees in Canada, the United States and Australia.

It is one of the largest modular construction companies in the industry.

“This appointment is part of an ongoing effort to enhance and strengthen both the board and the senior management team at WesternOne,” said Darren Latoski, the CEO of WesternOne.

“Stockwell Day’s service at the most senior levels of the provincial and federal governments will be of enormous benefit as we continue to expand our business operations in Canada and abroad.”

Day has previously served in both provincial and federal politics in B.C. and Alberta.

As an MP, he was Canada’s minister of international trade.
