This past Halloween, CK Design came up with a fundraiser to engage local businesses and their staff in a “spooktacular” way.
By donating $100 to Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs Teen Junction Youth Centre, local businesses were entered in the Halloween Costume Contest.
All 12 businesses that donated this year rose to the challenge by dressing up in support of Teen Junction. All entries had their team photos taken and showcased on social media. The public then voted for their favourite and decided the winner.
This year’s winner was Decorworld Benjamin Moore, whose staff dressed up as artist Bob Ross with paintings. They will be delivering the total donations to Teen Junction personally.

Despite results, both CK Design and Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs extended a thank you to all of the businesses who participated this year.
“Your support provides youth in our community with a safe, non-judgmental environment where they can connect with friends and staff as they discover and reach their full potential,” said Teen Junction staff. “We are pleased to announce that because of the overwhelming support and multitude of inquiries, before and after the event, CK Design will be doing the contest next year making it an annual fundraiser.”
Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs is a leading provider of programs to children and youth that support the healthy physical, educational, and social development of more than 7,000 young people and their families each year.
