From every new home built at Morrison Creek Commons, a $2,000 donation is made to the affordable housing amenity reserve fund, and parks and recreation as well cultural and seniors’ facilities in Courtenay.

Morrison Creek Commons is a naturally vibrant community of single-family homes bordering the meandering Morrison Creek in Courtenay. Situated in a peaceful, park-like setting of Red Cedar and Douglas Fir, the serene 20-acre property features a seven-acre park where each home site has been designed to enhance the features of a trail system, the waterway and the ecological benefits of the Puntledge River system.

A cool, clean, year-round stream flowing from springs in the headwaters make Morrison Creek an excellent home to coho, pink and chum salmon, as well as cutthroat and rainbow trout. The quality of the water and the dependability of the flow reduce the creek’s need for salmon enhancement.

Furthermore, it’s the only place in the world where the unique Morrison Creek Lamprey can be found.

This quiet subdivision will be home to 69 single-family dwellings built around seven acres of natural parkland.

Mountain West Properties has incorporated more than 3,000 feet of trails that meander along Morrison Creek, drawing a close connection with the community and surroundings.

The Morrison Creek Commons trail space is used by area residents.
