Donation ‘makes a difference’ for Lodge residents

The Langley Lodge garden will be known as the Aldergrove Financial Group Courtyard, in recognition of the local financial institution’s $120,000 donation.

“We are honoured to have the beautiful garden courtyard named after Aldergrove Financial Group; it’s a place all residents and their families can enjoy,” said Gus K. Hartl, the Aldergrove Credit Union chief executive officer.

“Not only can you see the improvements to the building, our donation has helped to sustain therapeutic recreation services, all of which are what make the Langley Lodge a home.”

Langley Lodge is an accredited, not-for-profit complex care facility.

“The people who call Langley Lodge home are touched by the generosity of Aldergrove Financial Group,” said Terry Metcalfe, the president of the Langley Care Society.

“The donation has made a very real difference in their lives.”

“Aldergrove Financial Group has shown corporate leadership through their altruistic support of Langley Lodge seniors residential care,” said Debra Hauptman, the executive director of Langley Care Society.

She added that the Aldergrove Financial Group has supported the  “facilities improvement initiative and are active partners in creating a safe, comfortable and elegant home for the elderly residents of Langley Lodge.”
