A pair of local companies have both earned spots on a list of Canada’s best managed companies.
Langley’s The Driving Force Inc. as well as OpenRoad Auto Group earned the exclusive honour.
This was the ninth consecutive year The Driving Force achieved the status.
Jeff Polovick, the president and CEO of The Driving Force Inc., credits the award to employees’ dedication, creativity and exceptional commitment to customer service.
“Every aspect of our success is directly attributable to our staff,” Polovick said.
“We have more than 11,000 vehicles in our fleet, but we’re not an equipment company; we’re a service company, and that means that every employee needs to be constantly putting the customer first.
“I watch our people perform their jobs every day and they constantly amaze me with their attention to exceeding their customers’ expectations.”
“We know that we do a lot of things right, but we are always looking for ways to improve,” said Moe Wetzel, the general sales manager of Langley’s Hino Central location.
“So we are constantly adapting in response to changing customer needs and market conditions. We really just focus on looking after the customer, and everything else seems to fall into place. We don’t go out of our way to win awards, but we do go out of our way to win customers.”
Open Road Auto Group, which has dealerships across the Lower Mainland, including in Langley, was honoured for excellence in business performance.
They opened the Porsche Centre Langley last year.
This was the third straight year OpenRoad been recognized.
“It is a great honour to be recognized once again with this prestigious award,” said Christian Chia, the president and CEO of OpenRoad Auto Group.
“Our team has worked hard to set a new standard for excellence in the automotive industry and we look forward to raising bar even higher with some exciting new initiatives we’ll be unveiling later this year.”
